1. Lesson Fees & Duration:

• Class 5L and Class 7L Driving Lessons: $60 + GST per hour.

o Each one-hour driving lesson includes at least 45 minutes of practical driving and up to 15 minutes of theory and feedback.

• Road Test  Package (2 hours): $120 + GST.

o Includes Pick-up,  drop-off, a 45-minute warm-up lesson and use of the school vehicle for the ICBC road test.

• Road Test Vehicle Only: $70 + GST per road test 

o No warm-up lesson or driving practice is included.

2. Valid Driver’s Licence:

· All students must present (before the lessons) and carry (during the lesson) a valid Class 5L or Class 7L B.C. driver’s licence, or a foreign driver’s licence legally accepted in BC.

3. Booking & Payment:

· Lessons must be booked in advance by phone, email, or through our website.

· Payment is required before the lesson begins. We accept cash or e-transfer only.

· A 5% GST will be added to all listed prices.

· A receipt will be provided for every payment.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, Refunds & Expiration:

Ø Single Lessons:

· A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge.

· Cancellations or rescheduling with 24 to 48 hours’ notice are subject to a $50 fee. 

· Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full lesson fee.

· No-shows will be charged the full lesson fee.

· For late arrivals, the lesson will end at the scheduled time. Missed time will count as part of the lesson and cannot be extended or refunded.

Ø Packages:

· The cancellation, rescheduling, no-show, and late-arrival rules above (Single Lessons) apply to every lesson in a package.

· If a package is cancelled, the cost of completed lessons and any applicable cancellation fees will be deducted. The remaining balance will be refunded.

· Completed lessons are non-refundable.

Ø Expiration:

· All prepaid single lessons and packages expire eight months after purchase.

· Unused lessons are non-refundable after expiration.

5. Road Tests:

· Students may book their road test directly with ICBC or provide written consent using ICBC Form DTC205 for SmartWheel Drive to book it on their behalf.

· Pick-up service is included with all road-test sessions.

· SmartWheel Drive may refuse vehicle rental if the student is not ready for the road test.

· Cancellations and rescheduling of SmartWheel Drive road-test services follow the rules listed under Single Lessons.

· Missing a road test without 48-hour notice or a satisfactory reason may result in a $25 ICBC fee, in addition to future road test fees.

· Students are responsible for paying all ICBC road-test and licence fees.

· SmartWheel Drive reserves the right to cancel appointments due to policy violations with no refunds.

· Passing the road test is not guaranteed.

6. Passengers:

· Lessons are normally one-on-one between the student and instructor.

· One parent, family member, or friend may attend as an observer during the lesson.

· A maximum of three people may be in the vehicle during a lesson.

7. Student Conduct:

· Aggressive behaviour or threats toward staff will not be tolerated.

· Students under the influence of alcohol, recreational substances, or sedating medications will not be allowed to take lessons; such lessons will be void.
